A deposit of 20% of the agreed cost of your memoir, confirms that you have commissioned a Lifestory biography. Your deposit is fully refundable until the start of the first interview.
Lifestory will stay in touch with you and with other appropriate agreed parties as necessary throughout the project.
Within 48 hours of receipt of your deposit, Lifestory will provide homework support…and will stay in touch to assist during the prep period.
It is very important that you, or the subject of the memoir, provides Lifestory with as much information about your/their life as possible. Please be sure that you/they are fully prepared for the interview stage, within four weeks of receiving the homework support. In the case of illness or other exceptional circumstances, Lifestory is happy to be flexible.
Depending on the quality and suitability of your/their photographs, Lifestory may ask you/them to take a digital image for use on the cover of the memoir.
The final manuscript will be ready for approval, normally within 21 days of the last interview. Lifestory is happy to make any corrections at this stage but cannot add fresh information outside of the interviews.Â
A request for full settlement will be advised immediately upon approval. Fulfilment cannot go ahead until payment is received. Within two weeks of receipt of your payment, you will receive six copies of your memoir and a digital copy in your preferred format.
Lifestory may seek your permission to publicise the project (excluding content) via social media or in other ways. I am happy for you to do the same as you wish.
